Not that you want to see me again, but here is the last "official belly" prego pic we took @ 38wks. She was born @ 39 1/2 wks.

So, the delivery was wonderful! NO C-Section! I ended up at the hospital on 12/27 @ about 8pm. My doctor had me admitted, broke my water and started me on pitocin at 9:30. It was a sneaky, planned induction. If you want to know full details you can call me:). I was able to deliver her vaginally and naturally with just a little bit of help at the end. The nurse kept under measuring me which was very hard for me mentally. For me, if I'm prepared mentally the pain is more manageable. The nurse came in at about 4 (I think) and said I was only a 5, which I was almost a 5 at my appt earlier that day! So, my wonderful friend Heather who is training to be a doula requested the dr come in and check! So grateful that she did because mentally that crushed me and I was ready for an epidural! (which everyone at the birth knew I did NOT want) He came in and checked...almost a 7! So, I just got a dose of pain med through my IV to take the edge off, with some antinausea (I had been throwing up too). I was so tired that it actually made it so I could rest and take a light nap, still could feel them but not as intense. About 1 hr later they had the nurse :( come in and check, but this time she actually had good news...baby was fully engaged and I was ready to push! Pushing took about 1hr and I had a really bad push at the beginning because I was so anxious, I actually made a ton of blood vessels burst in my eyes! I look like a vampire! But, out she came with no c-section!

Peyton is LOVING his little sister! He is always wondering where "baby" is and has been such a big helper. If she's crying he'll go get her binkie all on his own and put it in her mouth. He comes and stands on a box next to the changing table and talks to her while I change her diaper and he loves to put her dirty clothes in the hamper! He is so cute but seems SO old now!

Winter fun & Christmas

Merry Christmas! We've had a wonderful winter so far! We even got out in the first snow over Thanksgiving weekend and took Peyton sledding for the first time! He LOVED it! Christmas was great & we got to spend eve with my fam & day eve with Jake's. We have more pics we took with our video camera but I don't know how to get them onto the computer! HAHA Peyton has been in heaven with all his gifts, especially his golf clubs, train set, & matchbox cars! 100% boy!(pics out of order)

Well, I don't know where to start. March was a very emotional month for our family. On March 25th Jake's younger brother Paul passed away. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Paul is. He was such a wonderful brother, son, uncle, husband, brother in-law, and friend to many. Anytime you were in his presence you couldn't help but smile and feel loved. We will forever miss him, but I KNOW that he is truly in a better place and he is no longer suffering. I love you Paul and feel completely blessed to know you.

Another emotional event happened in March as well...Peyton turned 1! This was a very exciting moment though. Which was a little blessing too I think, it was something happy and positive to celebrate in a very sad time of mourning. We need move the birthday to Peyton's actual birthday, it was best.

Tree Hunting

Christmas is upon us, so that brings the annual tree hunt! Peyton loved being outside hiking around in the snow! (The pics are kinda in reverse order but no time to fix) Life is GREAT and so fun having the little man around! Peyton isn't crawling yet, but very close, he still manages to get wherever he wants to go (usually to the tree) by rolling! You turn your head for one sec and he's gone! LOVE IT!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Yay! Halloween again! Jake and I were 80's rockers (Jake looked more like Chris Angel) and I thought Jake looked really hot! Is that weird?! Peyton was our little OWL!!!! He was such a good sport, he didn't even mind the mask!

We can't believe summer is over and it's back to school! But...football season is here so there are still things to look forward to! So, here is a brief look at how the rest of our summer went...

First Camp out!!

Our first camp out!! Peyton was such a champ, and he did so well that we will for sure be going again this summer! We went with the Roots up to Arrow Rock Reservoir, which is a beautiful lake! The sad part is that we didn't get to use the boat! Come to find out, no one winterized it so the engine cracked!!! Jake is really not happy cause now we have no access to a boat and if only someone would've told us last winter, we would've paid to have it done. Anyway...Peyton did great and we did have fun with the family aside from the boat. :)

Oh yeah...we did hear two drunk people crash their boat into the shore at 1:00am!!! No one was hurt but they almost hit some other people's tent!

Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend full of family and friends! The week started off with Paul and Kristi's wedding! It was such a sweet sealing, fun luncheon and beautiful reception! Since we had so many family members in town, we decided to bless Peyton while everyone was here. Jake did such a wonderful job. How blessed and grateful I am to be married to a great worthy Priesthood holder! We had a brunch after church at mom & dad Hadfield's house with all our family! It was so nice! On Monday a group of us went to Eagle Island State Park and swam and had a picnic! It was such a busy, full weekend, but it was so fun to have a big gathering of family members! My only regret is that I didn't get very many pictures of everyone!

Introducing for the first time...PEYTON JACOB ROOT! Born March 31, 2009 @ 1:08 am, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20in long at 37 1/2 weeks! After 14 hrs of ALL natural labor including 2 1/2 hrs of pushing, the doctor and nurses decided that he was way to big for my pelvis. So, he ended up entering this world through C Section. Man, was Daddy nervous and I was just tired and relieved that I made it safely! Our poor little guy was so swollen and his head was so cone shaped due to being stuck at my pelvis. It was really sad to see, but it's amazing how fast the swelling and his head went down!

I have to let everyone know that I have by far the best husband and mother!!! They both were in the delivery & operating room the whole time. They were the best support team anyone could have asked for! My poor husband had a major back ache by the time we were done. Due to the fact that the only position during labor that helped me, was to stand and put my arms around his neck and sway back and forth with my weight hanging on him. He never muttered a word and was so INCREDIBLY supportive! I couldn't have done it without him! I love you!!!!!!!!!

It is such a wonderful miracle, and blessing to have our little guy here! It is just amazing how fast he fits into our little family and you don't know what you did before he got here. He is definitely the next puzzle piece to our family and fits perfect! He is our perfect little angel, Healthy and Happy! He brings such a wonderful spirit into our home! We love him more than words can explain!

35 1/2 wks: Belly Update

Unexpected Outing

So, I will try to be brief and keep it to a minimum, but no promises. On Friday March 6th I was sent to the hospital to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid. While the were doing all the testing, they had me hooked up to two monitors, one to check on Peyton and one to check my contractions. Peyton's heart sounded great! My contractions on the other hand were three minutes apart and were lasting about 45 seconds. So, the nurses decided they should check my dilation....which I ended up being at a 2! So, in our heads we thought, "Yay! We're going to have a baby!" Man, were we wrong. The on call dr. consulted with mine and they decided the best thing to do would be to try and stop my labor and contractions. Even though Peyton was measuring at 35 wks at the time they wanted to go off the original due date (making him 34 wks) to make sure his insides were ready. Which is by far the most important thing. So, after trying a shot of meds after 1/2hr my contractions were still going strong. The doctors decided on an oral med that you take every 4 hrs, which meant I needed to get comfortable because they were going to keep me for observation for 24hrs. Well, 24hrs came and went and the meds were not working as well as they had hopped. Our little guy was sure trying hard to get out! Next step was an IV med called Magnesium Sulfate...man is it nasty stuff!! So, from Sat night the 7th to Tues the 10th, I was hooked up to an IV, not to mention the two different monitors from the beginning. I was not allowed to leave my bed except to pee. On Monday night, after talking to the nursing staff, we had come to the conclusion that I wouldn't be going home until Peyton was with us. Emotionally I was gearing myself up for at least another week in the hospital. Surprise to us when my dr came in on Tuesday and said that I would be able to go home on oral meds and strict bed rest! We were so surprised and I was so excited to get home and sleep in my own bed next to Jake! I cannot imagine and feel so sad for those women that have to be on that IV med for weeks/months, the medication makes you feel like you have the flu. I feel very lucky to have only been on it for about 4 days. For those of you who know me, I have a hard time just sitting/laying around, especially when I am starting to nest!!!! But, being at home was still better than the hospital. I ended up going in to see my dr again on the 13th...he decided since my dilation had stopped and we had officially passed the 35 wk mark by a couple days that I could go off strict bed rest and the oral meds!!! My only restriction for right now is that I have to take off one more wk of work due to how much I stand. I am so grateful that I live so close to family and friends. Jake and I really appreciate all the love and support that has been expressed on our behalf. We love you all very much! We are so happy that our little one has had some more time to "cook", but I have to say that the anxiety level I am feeling now to meet him is 100 times worse!! Thanks again to all!!! We love you!!

Just a couple pictures of our stay at the hospital, that was one of the only smiles I had during my stay. I'll admit, I emotionally had a very hard time with the whole experience. I don't know what I would've done without all the love and support. This was my first room after the triage room when we arrived on Friday. Jake's little bed in the corner was definitely not as comfortable as he was pretending it was. After this room I had two other rooms in Antepartum, when I was officially admitted after 24 hr observation.

This Boy is Sure Growin'

Here we are at about 6 months and the pounds keep coming!!! Peyton and I are both doing GREAT!!! He is moving a ton and it is so fun to feel and watch him move! I think one of my favorite parts about being pregnant is watching Jake through this whole experience. He is going to be such a great and loving dad!! His eyes light up every time he feels or sees his son move. I am so blessed to have him by my side and I can't imagine what I would do without him. My Jakey is such a wonderful supporter! I love you babe!

Wrap-up of Christmas

We spent Christmas with my family this year. We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner and spent the night. Our beautiful morning faces above are of us opening our presents! Are we best friends or what!? We got the same CD for each other! On Christmas Day we spent a couple hours with some of the Root's and exchanged presents before we headed to McCall with my family. It was nice to get out of town and really good to see that McCall finally had snow!Everyone (Jake, my parents, and my brothers) went skiing and snowboarding the day after Christmas. No worries, there was fresh powder and blue skies!!! I spent the day in the lodge reading! It was really weird not being out there with everyone, especially my best board buddy (Jake of course)! For any other reason I would've been sad, but I'll do anything for this little guy that's growing in my oven (we'll both be on the hill soon enough)! Plus it was actually really relaxing too! We had a wonderful Christmas and are so blessed to live so close to both of our families.

Yes, I know we both look stunning in our beautiful sweaters! Well, we had two occasions to wear these beauties; Jake's work party and we threw a last minute "Ugly Sweater Christmas Party" for all the high school friends and their spouses! It was really fun and funny to see what came out of the closet! We got ours at the DI, both in the lady's section! I felt like I had football pads on because the shoulder pads were HUGE!!

Christmas Tree Hunting

After many, many, many years of hunting for trees in the mountains, this year was by far the best!! Jake and I went to McCall with my family and stayed in their condo for the weekend. This time we stayed in one of the new presidential suites! It was so nice!!! Jake and I had our own room and bathroom with a king size bed, flat screen TV, jetted tub and dual head shower! Plus, the condo had it's own private hot tub on the balcony! It was so much fun!! We left after work on Friday and drove up with my parents. On Saturday we set off to look for some trees. We drove about 15 minutes from our condo, got out of the car and in a matter of about 5 minutes we found two beautiful trees; one for us and one for my parents! The rest of the weekend was spent by napping, watching movies, hot tubbing, making smoothies & milk shakes, and just good old RELAXING!!!! We LOVED IT!! Thanks mom and dad!

After pictures the boys all played football in a mini turkey bowl, while all of us girls fixed dinner! We ate at mom & dad Root's house, it was such a fun day! Yay!! Yes, I know this pic stinks, but you read it right! I'm PREGNANT!!! We didn't believe it so we took a few more! There's no doubt though, we got to see the little one a couple weeks ago in my first ultrasound! (picture below) It was SO incredible! We are excited and we both feel so blessed and humble to have the opportunity to be parents. We can't wait to bring this sweet spirit into our home!

FLORIDA (Tropical Storm Faye)

Soooo tired on the plane ride to Florida (sorry so blurry). I'm apologizing ahead of time for the crummy pics! Our camera stinks it's partly broken and the humidity made the pics even worse! My mom has better ones, so if I remember I will post some of hers later. (Don't cross your fingers, you know me!)

Beach patrol was hard at work the whole time we were there. We even watched them "rescue" a lady(there were a bout 6 beach patrol cars, 2 police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance)but it was really sad because we heard later on the news that she ended up dying. It was really weird too, because she was middle aged, and the water was really shallow, there wasn't a strong under tow and she was swimming right next to her husband. Still, a very sad ordeal.
The sad beach patrol experience didn't keep us out of the water. Despite the wind, grey sky, scattered showers, and watching a lady pretty much drown...we all had fun in the water and playing on the beach!

One of the 3 pools! Don't worry we only swam in them one day, cause they were only open the very last day we were there due to the storm! The last day was sunny and beautiful! We all (even my dad!) played in the ocean & ate dinner at a nice seafood restaurant out on their patio right by our resort! That night while we ate, there was a jazz band playing at an amphitheatre (that we could see from our table) and the pier in the above pic shot off fireworks!

Summer O' Family Reunions

June 21st started our 3 weekend run of family reunions!

First stop is Seattle, Washington for my mom's side of the family!
My cousin Jonathan had his missionary farewell and his sister Nikki had her baby shower so we made it a weekend family reunion! It was such a blast!

On our last day we of course had to go to Pike Place Market that overlooks the ocean! Always a must when you go to Seattle!

We have a tradition when we go to Seattle, we always go to Mee Sum Pastry and get a hombow! If you have never had one they are a must! It's a homemade big roll stuffed with meat! BBQ pork is the best!

I have to say...this is a good lookin' group!! It's not a professional picture by any means, but we thought it would be nice to take an up to date family picture while we were in Seattle. This is my aunt and uncle's backyard, it's a forest!!

Next up (the weekend after Seattle), Jackson Hole, Wyoming for my dad's side of the family! It is definitely harder to get everyone together with our busy schedules but I think everyone who made it had a blast. We golfed, rafted, played volleyball, horseshoes, Frisbee, went to a play (The Ballad of Kat Ballou) in an old playhouse, relaxed in the hot tub, and just enjoyed each other's company! The legendary antler arch in downtown Jackson Hole!

Just cooling off on the river! Our boat crew included; my dad, my mom, Dustin, Jaret, Shalee, Ryan, Jake and me. It was so much fun & our guide told us we were pros! Believe it or not no one fell out!

Finally, came Park City, Utah the weekend after Jackson Hole, with the Root family! We were there for Independence Day! How blessed we are to live in such a beautiful free country! We stayed in Park City but we spent most of the time in a small nearby town called Oakley. We blended in with the townsfolk! There was a parade (one of the best I've seen), a tribute to our country and those who fight for our freedom put on by the local choir and high school band, a luncheon at the town hall, and a rodeo with a fireworks show! It was such a great weekend!

Where did we go?!

Well, we've been a little busy so here is just a quick over view of what we have been up to besides work!...

Meet Ty Alexander Farris! Jake's older sister Amber gave birth to this adorable little boy in May! He is so adorable!

We're working on about 4 different projects in the backyard and our new patio is just the beginning! We are now looking for a patio set that won't break the bank! Thanks to my wonderful husband, dad, uncle and brother in law, we were able to knock it out pretty quick! Now for the staining and furniture! We'll try to keep you posted!

GOLFING! We've, have taken up a new sport & love it, when we get the chance to go! So far so good! We are taking lessons in July to give us a boost.

WEIRD! My little (younger) brother Jaret graduated from high school! He is such a stud & I love him to death! He is such a smart kid & is going to go so far. He graduated with honors and we are so proud of him!

More sleepovers with the niece and nephews! Tons of fun as always!

Our baby turned 1 in April, but he celebrated his one year with us on the June 13th! Don't worry that is a doggy purse and he did fit in it and even had room to walk around when we first got him! Oh, he is growing up so fast!

A Taste of SUMMER!

This last weekend a bunch of us friends got together to BBQ! I was a lot of fun! The food was great, weather was perfect, and so was the company! We played volleyball, tournament style for about 3 hours straight (a little sore today)! A few of us also played bolo ball and got in the hottub! We had a blast and are so excited for more warm weekends full of fun! Thanks Hobbs family for the back yard!

Sexy Hair Concepts Stage I had the opportunity to go to Utah a couple weekends ago for a hair show! It was really fun and interesting! Jake stayed home & that was really hard! It was the longest we have been apart! I will have to wait another year before I do it again, but it was a really great show! I stayed the first night (Friday) with my cousin Shalee and Ryan. It was so nice to spend time with them!

Saturday, we met Chelsi, Zaida, Katie and Gracie and we all went to Chelsi's baby shower! We did a little shopping, went to a "What Women Want" Expo, and then to dinner! It was fun to have a girl's day. That night, Katie, Gracie, and I stayed at grandma & grandpa Hadfield's house in Ogden.

We headed to South Jordan Sunday morning for the show! We spent most of that day doing some shopping @ the show and scouting everything out. There were so many booths and classes! That night we went to the Mayan Restaurant to eat! They have changed the menu and YUM it was so good! We stayed in a hotel that night right by the convention center, which was really nice cause it felt like we had been driving the whole weekend!

Monday, we hit the classes at the show. We met my sister in-law Jennie there, and the three of us hung together. I bought a starter kit for Scruples highlighting and low lighting series! I am so excited to use it! I am also going to swap out my line now for their True Integrity line! The classes we took at the show have converted me! Hopefully, it will be more gentle on my skin.

Even though I really missed Jake, it was really nice to have a girl's weekend to see everyone!

The snow was so deep off the groomed runs this year, I could barely move! We had a blast this season with our season passes up to Brundage in McCall! We would love to do it again! But bring on summer! We are ready!

New Piano Cover

So, I know I just posted a picture of our new piano, but I wanted to show off my craft/handy side! The old bench cover was worn out and dull. Doesn't it look great! We think so! It's cream colored vinyl that has a snake skin texture, not to metion some extra padding! Very sassy I have to say!

I am so grateful for this wonderful time of year, our Savior sacrificed everything in our behalf. I love Him with all my heart. He is my own personal Savior. I have felt of His love so strongly in my life that I can not deny that HE LIVES! Words can't decribe how much I appreciate what He did for me. I don't know what I would do without this knowledge, what a special blessing to know of this truth. I truely love Him more than anything.

For our "Easter Bunny" day, we had a BBQ at mom & dad Root's house the saterday before Easter! The kids searched for eggs and we ate until we almost popped! It was such a beautiful sunny day, it was perfect! We can't wait to have our own kids to join in the fun!

On Easter sunday we had a wonderful dinner at mom & dad Hadfield's house and enjoyed visitng, coloring eggs and watched a movie! It is so nice to have both families close! (Really!)

One Year ANNIVERSARY!

Our anniversary this year was on Easter Sunday so we celebrated the friday and saturday before. We started the night off at Outback, we were both craving a good ol' fashioned steak! It was so yummy! It definately "hit the spot!"

We couldn't swing it this year to go to Maui, so we just got out of the house and stayed across town! So, off to the hotel after dinner! We used Hotwire to find a hotel, and you can't see were you get, until after you purchase the room. It wasn't the best hotel we have ever stayed in, but it was nice and we had so much fun! We, well Jake did (I was so tired I slept through it) watched the Boise State basketball game against Louisville, they lost. :( After the game we wanted to go see a movie, by the time we got to the theatre it was 10:20 so the options are slim. We saw 10,000 B.C. (we suggest $1 movie or rent it), either way we just love going to the movies and getting popcorn and a giant icee!

We got to sleep in saturday morning, which was WONDERFUL for both of us! We checked out and went to breakfast! Jake and I have both taken piano lessons in the past and both gave it up for different reasons, and both regret it! So, for the longest time we have been talking about taking lessons again and saving for a piano. After breakfast we went to Dunkley Music (a local music store) and found the perfect fit for us! It is used, but every tree years we can trade it in and they give us the dollar amount of this one towards our next one! This way we can work up to our dream piano! We are so excited!

We had such a great weekend! This past year has been amazing! We can't wait to see what this next year brings! Love you sweetheart!!

I'm THE LUCKIEST girl!

Well, ladies...I have to say I have the best guy out there! He is such a sweetheart & is always thinking of how to make things easier for me. Plus, he is such a stud muffin! This last friday I was working when he got home from work at 9am, then he laid down for a quick nap, so I didn't get to see him until my break. Anyway, when I came out of the shop to go say "hi", I saw this pretty flower plant on the kitchen table with a very sweet card that he had written! He shows me every day how much he loves me, but this was a sweet surprise.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! He is definately my soul mate and my best friend! I am so grateful to call him my husband. He has been a great blessing in my life and everyone deserves a guy like him! (NO, I won't share!) I love you sweetheart!

Jake and I both have so much fun with our niece and nephews, so we decided to start having sleepovers! This last weekend we had two of my sister-in-law Amber's kids, Isham (6) and Aleah (4) come stay. We had so much fun! We set up our camping tent in the family room, Aleah and I put it up all by ourselves while the boys played the Wii. Then we put together some pizzas, Aleah is going to be a great little cook when she grows up! We rented the movie Ratatouille, went to Fred Meyer to get new batteries for the Wii! Isham LOVES playing the Wii! We used our air popper to make popcorn and watched the movie as the kids did some narrating (since they had already seen it)!

We are so excited to eventually have all the nieces and nephews come stay the night! (Zeke that means you have to make a special trip up here!)

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day! It was pretty low key, but it was very nice. Jake had class that night, so we had a nice dinner for two at home, went to TCBY (my fav) and watched a movie. Get this...Jake volunteered to watch Bring It On-In It To Win It! The cheesiest movie ever! What a stud! If any of you truely know him, you know he is a shoe guy. So for his V-Day present he got a pair of New Balances that he had been wanting for awhile.

He always seems to go over and above, so for Valentine's Day he still managed to surprise me with a beautiful ring for my right hand! I just love him so much! He truely is my best friend and eternal companion! I am so grateful to have found him. I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART!

California Trip

L.A. Lakers basketball game! We saw David Arquette, Mark Walberg, and Will Ferrall!
We had the chance to see the show "Wicked" at the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Blvd! It was an amazing production! Even the boys liked it!

We took a short visit to Chargers Stadium...we couldn't go down to see the field because the NFL has a rule that no one can tour the field 72 hrs before a game. We got there 72 hrs before they had their playoff game! It was still neat.

Part of our Christmas present from my parents was a trip to California with the whole family! We were gone January 1-6th! We went to San Diego, Hunnington Beach, Los Angeles, and Fallbrook (part of Dustin's mission). It was really fun. We left Boise and it was 17 degrees and when we landed in San Diego it was 76 degrees! It was definately a nice break from the cold. We did go to the beach a couple days, no one swam though...Jake was ready to jump in though! It really made the two of us want to live by the ocean for at least a little while, but the mountains and lakes will do just fine for now.

We spent December 24-26 with ALL the Roots up at the Farris cabin in Pine, Idaho! It was so much fun! We played in the snow with sleds, snowmobiles, and the snow bike! We went swimming in the warmsprings pool and stayed up late playing games and doing kareoke! It was so nice to get out of town and spend time with the whole family! The kids were so adorable on Christmas morning (other than the 6:30 am wake-up call)! It was really hard to come home, we had so much fun!

My family has the tradition of going up into the mountains to hunt for a Christmas tree! No tree lots for us! So, I talked Jake into adopting this tradition as our own...I think after going once, he may fight for doing it everyother year! It was really fun though! We went with all of my family, grandpa and grandma Edwards, and my aunt Sherry's family. We went to a new location this year (Featherville, Idaho), which was really neat! There was tons of snow and really pretty trees!

For my actual birthday, Jake and I went to a Boise State basketball game. After the game, we met his parents and his brother Paul at a TCBY! It was really fun! Jake bought me a new wakeboard and a helmet! Later, I came to find out that he bought it in July and kept it a secret the whole time! I had no clue! The day after, we went out to my favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, with my family! With everyone's busy schedules it is harder to always get together on the actual day! Funny thing is, by the time we got together and ate at the restaurant, it was 9:30 when we were done! So we didn't even eat cake! Since I got TCBY on my real birthday, I didn't really care because I like it better anyway!

Happy Thanksgiving! This year Jake and I went to Utah with my family. The Hadfield's decided to have the reunion over the holiday this year. We had so much fun! We of course had a turkey bowl for the boys, we went bowling, went shopping in Park City on "black friday" (we hadn't even talked about Christmas presents yet so we really got nothing accomplished), and we went and saw the movie August Rush (we both highly recomend it)!

We have a family tradition of doing a "right and left" game with my grandparents. We each start with a present and my grandma reads a story that says "right and left" and by the end of the game we all end up with a different present. This year my grandma made a beenie for everyone! My grandpa made the tasels on top! They are so cute!

It was really fun to see everyone and all the new babies! Well, one new baby and the toddlers! We all don't get together as often anymore, so it was very nice.

Football Skills!

Jake had the chance to play on a couple different flag football teams this fall. Most of the regular season games were outside on grass fields. Jake's last team that he was on "Team Slayer", made it to the playoff game! They got to play on the Boise State football team's indoor practice field! It was really cool! They took second place, so that stunk, but I know they had a lot of fun throughout the season!

We were not able to go to very many BSU football games this season with our schedules but we did manage to make it to one in Utah! Jake and I went with our friends Todd and Kim Allen. We left friday night after work November 9th. It was such a last minute decision that most of the hotels in Logan were sold out, but we ended up finding one on the internet. So, I shouldn't have to say anything else about the hotel other than if you're in Logan, Ut and you have no other place to sleep than the Motel 6....SLEEP IN YOUR CAR! We at least got the rooms cheap! Dustin, Jaret, and their friends Steve and Derek made the trip too, but they stayed in Salt Lake like smart boys! We did have a fun time and BSU shut out Utah State the next day so it made the trip worthwhile!

Jake's Birthday!

I totally got ahead of myself and posted Halloween before Jake's birthday! Sorry honey! Jake's birthday is October 2nd, all in all I think he had a pretty good day. We had a dinner party with my family the Sunday before and all the Roots the night before his actual birthday! On the day of his birthday I decorated the family room with streamers and balloons and I got to meet him for lunch since he had to work and we opened presents after that. I got him a new football and some new decals for the truck. That night he had class until 9, so I made chicken enchiladas (one of his favorites) and he got a nice massage after! :) He thought that was all but the following weekend was General Conference down in Salt Lake and Jake has never been...So I surprised him and I made a hotel reservation at the Hilton and we went to the saturday afternoon session! It was really nice. He was very surprised, just ask him! Ha! Happy 24th Birthday honey!

Happy Halloweeen! As you can see...Jake and I were mimes for Halloween! We had so much fun getting ready. We went to a party at Chance and Shea Hobb's house on the 27th. We played a game were you had to "mummify your spouse" and we won! Don't I just look great all wrapped in toilet paper! (Don't comment!) Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Halloween, so it is really fun being married to someone who will dress up with me!

Dad's 50th Birthday!

We celebrated my dad's 50th birthday party over the 21-23 of September, my mom and I surprised him and had some of his family come into town! We had a blast! My uncle Blake, his kids Chelsi (her daughter Zaida), Shalee, Sage and Creed, came up from Utah. Both my grandpa and grandma Hadfield from Utah and my cousin Aubrey came up too. My dad's sister Kim was able to fly in all the way from Nebraska as well! On saturday all the girls did a women's fitness walk and later that afternoon we met the boys and we all went bowling! My dad loves Mexican food, so we reserved a banquet room at Casa Mexico (one of his favorites) and we all ate and had cake and ice cream. We all had so much fun! Bad news though, my mom's camera that had most of the pictures from the weekend got stollen before we got them downloaded on the computer! So a stinky deal, we only got a couple from the fitness walk with all the girls.

For Labor Day this year we went to Lucky Peak. It was so much fun and the weather was great! My mom, Dustin, his friend Derek, my friend Shayla, Doc (mom & dad's dog), Jake, Rusty, and I all went. Everyone else had to work! As you can see Jake is much better at wakeboarding than I am but I have to say I am getting better thanks to a great mentor! It was a blast! P.S.
