He's Here!!!!!!

Introducing for the first time...PEYTON JACOB ROOT! Born March 31, 2009 @ 1:08 am, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20in long at 37 1/2 weeks! After 14 hrs of ALL natural labor including 2 1/2 hrs of pushing, the doctor and nurses decided that he was way to big for my pelvis. So, he ended up entering this world through C Section. Man, was Daddy nervous and I was just tired and relieved that I made it safely! Our poor little guy was so swollen and his head was so cone shaped due to being stuck at my pelvis. It was really sad to see, but it's amazing how fast the swelling and his head went down!
I have to let everyone know that I have by far the best husband and mother!!! They both were in the delivery & operating room the whole time. They were the best support team anyone could have asked for! My poor husband had a major back ache by the time we were done. Due to the fact that the only position during labor that helped me, was to stand and put my arms around his neck and sway back and forth with my weight hanging on him. He never muttered a word and was so INCREDIBLY supportive! I couldn't have done it without him! I love you!!!!!!!!!
It is such a wonderful miracle, and blessing to have our little guy here! It is just amazing how fast he fits into our little family and you don't know what you did before he got here. He is definitely the next puzzle piece to our family and fits perfect! He is our perfect little angel, Healthy and Happy! He brings such a wonderful spirit into our home! We love him more than words can explain!
The GRAND ENTRANCE!
My First check up, the nurses covered up my head first thing so my Mommy & Daddy didn't feel bad

Weighing in @ 8lbs 2oz

What a beautiful baby! And you looked great yesterday. I know he was a big baby, but he looked so tiny! It made me baby hungry and Landon's only 4 months old!!! I can't wait for them to get big enough for play dates :)

Congratulations you two! He is so adorable! Really, so cute. I am so glad he is here safely. Candice, I went through the same thing with Max. Labored forever then ended up in a c-section, so I feel for you girl. I hope you heal up soon. Jake, it is so cute to see you as a daddy!

You are so brave to want to go natural and for so long. He is so handsome! And so big for being 2 1/2 weeks early. Can't wait to get a peak at him and compare him and Lexi...they are just weeks apart. Congrats!
